The Government of Alberta has recently permitted the reopening of hotel swimming pools as COVID-19 restrictions are gradually being lifted throughout the province. There are new health and physical distancing protocols that are now in place to ensure that all our guests visiting Poolside by Hotel Arts have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Effective June 12, the pool is now open for swimming from 11am daily until 9pm.
In addition to our preexisting Pool Rules, Hotel Arts has introduced some new ones to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. The threat of contracting COVID-19 is still possible and we are committed to ensuring that risks are mitigated through well thought-out practices and measures.
All guests accessing Poolside by Hotel Arts will be met by a COVID Hospitality Host prior to gaining entry to the poolside patio. At that time, guests will be asked to complete a COVID Declaration Form online from their SmartPhone or on a printed version available from the host. They will also be asked to review the new COVID-19 measures in place and will be asked to observe the 2m physical distancing measures in place. They will then be escorted to their seating area for a licensed dining experience poolside. Group size may not exceed 6 people so families or cohorts are requested to stay within their group while at poolside.
Hotel Arts has taken measures to ensure tables and seating areas are spaced out at 2 meter intervals to abide by the physical distancing requirements. Guests are requested not to move any seats, tables or poolside furniture as this has been laid out to meet the requirements of the Government of Alberta.
Perimeter seating around the pool has been blocked out according to 2 meter guidelines to ensure the safety of our guests. Please sit in areas as identified by the COVID Hospitality Host exclusively.
Pool capacity is limited to 20 people in the pool at any one time and it is requested that individuals stay within their identified group/cohort and respect the 2 meter distancing guidelines with our other patrons.
Hotel Arts has a terrific menu of drinks at our licensed patio but we ask that guests refrain from drinking while in the pool itself and restrict imbibing to the seating areas exclusively.
Guests of Hotel Arts and Hotel Arts Kensington have priority access to the poolside patio. Wait times might exist based on capacity levels. Non-hotel guests are also welcome to experience Poolside by Hotel Arts on a first-come, first served basis. There is a $20 cover charge for non-hotel guests to use the pool for a two-hour period which will be added to the individual’s/group’s bill.
Poolside by Hotel Arts is a beautiful setting to safely get away from the troubles of the COVID world and we’ve taken precautions to ensure that everyone has a safe and pleasant experience. Our menu is first rate, the setting is gorgeous and our artisans are very keen to welcome back our guests. Even though they’ll be wearing face masks, you’ll see their enthusiastic smiles through their eyes.
