Our pool and Poolside restaurant will be closed from Sunday 27 September at 4pm until Wednesday 7 October while we install our winter “toque” – our inflatable shelter that covers the entire patio courtyard so that we can welcome patrons in summer-like comfort for a dip in the pool or dining on our patio. It’s the perfect oasis even in the depths of winter’s icy chill with 24C degrees and a touch of humidity. Once we put on our “toque” for winter, we’ll be ready for licensed poolside dining and refreshing dips again to keep the summer vibe going year-round.
The Government of Alberta permitted the re-opening of hotel swimming pools as COVID-19 restrictions are gradually being lifted throughout the province. There are new health and physical distancing protocols that are now in place to ensure that all our guests visiting Poolside by Hotel Arts have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Effective June 12, 2020 the pool is now open for swimming from 11am daily until 9pm.
ALL guests accessing Poolside by Hotel Arts will be met by a COVID Hospitality Host prior to gaining entry to the poolside patio. At that time, guests will be asked to to complete a COVID Declaration Form online from their smartphone or on a printed version. They will also be asked to review the new COVID-19 measures in place and will be asked to observe the 2m physical distancing measures in place. They will then be escorted to their seating area for a licensed dining experience Poolside.
In addition to our pre-existing Pool Rules, Hotel Arts has introduced some new ones to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. The threat of contracting COVID-19 is still possible so we can ask that you please adhere to our physical distancing practices and safety measures in place to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
Hotel Arts has taken measures to ensure tables and seating areas are spaced out at 2m intervals to abide by the physical distancing requirements. Guests are requested not to move any seats, tables, or poolside furniture as this has been laid out to meet the requirements of the Government of Alberta.
Drinking beverages is not permitted while in the pool. Please drink only in the designated seating areas.
Group size may not exceed 6 people so families or cohorts are requested to stay within their group while at Poolside by Hotel Arts.
Perimeter seating around the pool has been designated according to 2m guidelines to ensure the safety of our guests. Please sit in areas as identified by the Hospitality Host exclusively.
Pool capacity is limited to 20 people at any one time and it is requested that individuals stay within their identified group/cohort and respect the 2m distancing guidelines with our other patrons.
There is a $20 pool usage fee to use the pool for non-hotel guests, which will be added to the individual’s or group’s bill. 2 hour time limit applies to non-hotel guests. 3 hour time limit applies to hotel guests during peak days.
