Tourism Calgary hosted the 54th annual White Hat Awards on May 18 and presented Yellow Door Bistro with the White Hat Best Restaurant of the Year 2015. Yellow Door Bistro was recognized for its contribution to the economic growth of Calgary’s tourism industry, a commitment to giving back to the local community and participation in initiatives that raise Calgary’s profile as a culinary destination.
Yellow Door Bistro’s whimsical and distinctive design, innovative culinary offerings with local and season inspiration and the extensive wine by the glass menu were just some of the highlights that were mentioned upon presentation of the award.
Beyond a collection of exemplary offerings, Yellow Door Bistro enthusiastically participates in initiatives that enhance the community spirit of Calgary working closely with local partners, causes and producers.

In addition to this award, 15 members of the Hotel Arts Group were nominated for the awards with Yellow Door Bistro’s own Ardjana Kastrati placing as a finalist in the Best Host: Brasserie/Bistro category.
