Welcome Back!

Welcome back!

As we welcome you, our valuable guests, back to our establishments, we’ve implemented a number of new protocols to ensure the safety of everyone.

With the phased lifting of COVID restrictions by the Government of Alberta, Hotel Arts Group is reopening several of our business units with new health and physical distancing measures in place.

We look forward to safely welcoming back our guests to our hotels, restaurants, and event spaces and sharing our warm brand of western hospitality with them.

Throughout your experience, you’ll see new protocols in place to ensure guest and artisan safety.  Physical distancing measures will be in place with signage, wayfinding, directional markers, table spacing, stanchions, plastic shields, elevator notices and traffic flow decals to help promote 2 meter spacing between individuals. We have also decreased shared contact points and increased all cleaning and sanitizing protocols.

Hand sanitizers are placed liberally throughout our premises in high traffic areas like entrances, foyers, front desk, elevator landings, near washrooms, banquet spaces, etc.

Guests will also see our teams continuously cleaning public areas and high traffic/touch areas to ensure guest and artisan safety.

Each artisan shift will start off with health and safety measures like symptom screening and taking body temperatures at our Staff Entrance.  Anyone with symptoms or raised temperatures will be asked to return home so as not to risk infection of others.

Guest-facing artisans will be wearing PPE (personal protective equipment) like face masks and/or face shields, adhering to strict hand washing protocols and/or wearing plastic/rubber gloves.  Despite the PPE, our artisans will still be smiling through their eyes to welcome you warmly at Hotel Arts.

COVID Kits with masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will also be available for our guests at the Front Desk and sold at cost.

The service experience with the Hotel Arts Group will continue to be a highlight of a visit to any of our operations.  With government restrictions, however, we are unable to offer certain services like buffet service in our restaurants and event spaces. But you’ll find that we have come up with innovative solutions like our four-course Chef Inspired Tabletop Brunch offerings in Yellow Door Bistro or our “Fresh Start Breakfast to Go” options delivered directly to guestrooms.

You’ll also find that our earnest desire to serve may be initiated with questions seeking permission instead of a default action.  For example, when you arrive on our front drive at either property, our Guest Services Agent will inquire first if you require assistance unloading from your vehicle.  Our check-in process will occur through a plastic shield and our guests will be asked if they require daily housekeeping services throughout their stay.  Our servers in the restaurant will ask if you prefer to view laminated menus or to view a QR code so you can view them on your smartphone.  These are but a few measures we are taking to provide options for our guests to make their stay as comfortable and safe as possible.

We are excited to welcome our guests back to the Hotel Arts Group.  Our hospitality is boundless but we ask you to continue to be vigilant about COVID and ask that guests refrain from visiting our venues in the Hotel Arts Group if:

You are ill or experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms including:

  • Fever
