During Phase 2 of Alberta’s lifting of COVID restrictions, Hotel Arts will be reopening our flagship property on Thursday, June 18th with a host of new health and physical distancing protocols in place to ensure that our guests are welcomed back safely and with warm hospitality.
While we recognize that border restrictions and company travel bans remain in place, we think that there are opportunities to welcome Calgarians, Albertans and friends from neighbouring provinces who are anxious to step beyond their own doorsteps for a fresh, and safe hospitality experience this summer. While many people are unable to venture out to some of their favourite vacation destinations this summer, Hotel Arts and Hotel Arts Kensington are within close proximity while still providing visitors with a sense of “escape” from a challenging winter and spring. 
With the proper safeguards in place to promote guest safety, our accommodations are as pristine as ever, our restaurants are artfully laid out for physical distance and feature delicious offerings. Our locations are ideal for venturing out to experience Calgary as it gradually reopens safely.
We’re starting with a “Fresh Start” this summer with all of our published rates at both properties featuring complimentary self-parking. Our guests are also invited to add enhancements at the time of booking like our “Fresh Start Breakfast To Go” delivered to your guestroom at pre-determined times. This is a delicious and prudent measure to accommodate our guests who are still wary of in-restaurant dining experiences.
We can assure our guests, however, that we have taken exhaustive measures to ensure that we offer safe in-restaurant dining experiences at Yellow Door Bistro, Oxbow at Hotel Arts Kensington and Poolside by Hotel Arts.
Yellow Door Bistro is now open daily for in-restaurant dining from 7am for breakfast and also features a terrific new Weekend Brunch. Oxbow is also open for Weekend Brunch from 8am – 2pm. In lieu of offering a buffet, our chefs have creative innovative solutions with four-course tabletop brunches served à la carte.
Both Oxbow at Hotel Arts Kensington (open Tues – Sat) and Yellow Door Bistro are now open for dinner service from 5pm onwards. Poolside by Hotel Arts is also open daily from 11am providing licensed dining for our guests and a welcome dip for those who wish to experience our poolside oasis. Guests at Hotel Arts and Hotel Arts Kensington have complimentary and priority access to our poolside patio although wait times might occur due to restricted capacity.
We offer wonderful “staycation” experiences at each of our hotels. Stay tuned for new packages and offerings this summer as our team is gearing up to launch some exciting new initiatives.
We’ll also be shining more spotlight on our neighbours and local businesses that are working hard to welcome back their guests and visitors and help ensure that they have memorable experiences in our city. We’ve been through some rough waters during the depths of the pandemic but we’re carefully finding safer waters for us to all enjoy a sense of calm and a chance to collect our depleted energies.
Better days lie ahead now that the curve has flattened. Let’s continue to do our part to minimize the risk of COVID-19 moving to a second wave as the first was disruptive enough. We are committed to providing safe and enjoyable experiences for our guests this summer and beyond.
